Your chance to have an impact on the future of digital education

Take part in our global movement #DigiEduHack and showcase your skills to the world! Join us in hacking the future of digital education!

I'm deligthed to be on board of the Steering Group for the Digital Education Hackathon, an EIT initiative under the European Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan, led by EIT Climate-KIC and coordinated by Aalto University.

On 3 October 2019 we are bringing together more than 50 organizations in Europe and beyond to solve real challenges in digital education, with more than 2500 participants teaming up creating innovative solutions during 24h hackathons across the globe. The teams with the best solutions will be awarded 5000 euros each in a final global award contest.

WHO? Our host organizations are schools, universities, research institutes, higher education institutions, NGOs, companies or any organization that wants to join in hacking the future!
WHAT? DigiEduHack is a participatory 24 hour event that will take place in multiple locations across the globe simultaneously. During the hackathon, students, teachers and educators, educational experts, researchers and innovators, get together to solve a challenge. The teams with the best solutions win a prize.
HOW HOST? Choose a specific digital education challenge that is relevant for you and engage your team in envisioning ideas and designing solutions for it. Invite those who matter to you: your students, staff, customers, partners, and stakeholders to co-create innovate solutions to your digital education challenge. The challenge areas range from learning spaces and pedagogies to learning experience, emerging technologies and data exploitation, access and availability. Each organization chooses a challenge area that is pressing and relevant for them, with the aim of developing real-life solutions.
WHY HOST? You will get visibility and outreach for your organization and brand through our extensive Communications & Marketing campaigns. We provide you with the necessary tools for facilitation, guidelines, marketing templates and support, a host handbook covering all aspects of planning events and a webinar on how to formulate your challenge and engage participants. You can concentrate on making your own DigiEduHack unique for your participants. You also become a part of the DigiEduHack Community and benefit from ideas of diverse education enthusiasts.
